Culdaff Sports Day is this weekend at  Caratra Park (football pitch beside the beach) on Sunday 1st August commencing at 2.30pm. All the usual sideshows and attractions. Teas and refreshments available in the clubhouse. Come along for a fun-filled family day out.

Dunree Fort sits on the edge of the swilly and has been an important military base for years, the guns have been silent for a long time but it is worth a visit, as there much to do. Activities at Fort Dunree include:

43rd Annual Clonmany Festival

The 43rd Clonmany Festival is on from Saturday 1st – Sunday 8th August.  It is renowned for its live music events, mighty craic agus ceol.  Its only 15 minutes drive from Culdaff and worth a run over, there is also plenty to entertain the kids, a full list of this years events can be found here

Culdaff Fun Weekend

This should have been posted a few weeks ago, as the events are now over!  However, this is an annual weekend and one of the best to spend in Culdaff, so pencil it in your Diary for next year : )

This years events included:

  • Car treasure hunt
  • Brian Houten Memorial 50mile and 15 mile cycle.
  • Car boot and craft sale
  • Duck race
  • Bunagee raft race and Junior and Senior Kayak races
  • Side shows include live music Bouncy castle lucky dip, raft tug o war and lots more.
  • Culdaff v’s Gleneely over 40’s football with special Guest Packie Bonner!

Culdaff Surf Report

If you are looking for the surf conditions in Culdaff, you can use Magicseaweed’s North Malin Forecast. Culdaff is a great beginners beach in summer, very safe for learning to surf and even swimming in summer, but be careful when the surf comes up, it can get big but usually at the end of summer and on into september.

Sea Angling Culdaff

Culdaff has some great fishing, and there is a Sea Angling festival every year, This years events are on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July.
